As a Kennel Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of the animals while maintaining a clean and safe environment. This position requires both physical stamina and excellent customer service skills to interact with pet owners effectively. Responsibilities Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising pets. Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and other facilities to ensure a hygienic environment. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to management. Assist with animal restraint during grooming or veterinary procedures as needed. Support dog training sessions by following established protocols. Engage with pet owners, providing updates on their pets and addressing any inquiries. Ensure all safety protocols are followed while handling animals. Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge. Experience Previous experience in kennel work or animal care is preferred but not required. Familiarity with dog training techniques is a plus.
