Animal Services Attendant – Decatur Animal Services Spur Staffing – 4.1 Decatur, AL Job Details Permanent | Part-time $12 an hour 2 days ago Qualifications Entry level Full Job Description Spur Staffing is looking for a dedicated Animal Services Attendant committed to providing a positive, supportive, energetic and clean environment for the Decatur Animal Services. Decatur Animal Services is seeking a dynamic professional with a love for animals, strong oral skills, problem solving and interpersonal relations skills with a desire to invoke positive change in families and animals. We offer flexible schedules and are hiring a permanent/part-time Animal Services Attendants for the Decatur Animal Services Department.

Major Duties Include But Not Limited To:

Handle dogs/cats and other animals large and small. Help coordinate animal adoptions. Clean kennels, animal areas and office area. Wash dishes and other utensils used. Keep facilities clean (sweeping, mopping, etc.) Promotes programs and services. Set-up and break-down of equipment. Work with public. All others duties as assigned.

Knowledge Required By The Position:

Decatur City and Departmental policies and procedures. Adoption planning and management principles. Public relations principles. Modern office procedures and equipment. Computers and job-related software programs. Development and delivery of patron programs.

Work Environment:

Work performed in an office and outdoors. Worker will be exposed to animals, animal waste, cleaning chemicals. Worker requires the use of protective devices such as masks, goggles, gloves, etc. Work is typically performed while standing/walking/running. Work will include sitting, standing, lifting, carrying, stooping and climbing. Worker must be able to lift 25 lbs or more. Worker must be able to use equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity. Worker must NOT be allergic to any type of animal.

Uniform:

Decatur will provide uniform requirements once hired.

Status:

Part-time / Up to 30 hours per week

Pay Rate:
