The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering high-quality grooming services that meet the needs of both pets and their owners. Duties Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling of various breeds of dogs and other pets. Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin, identifying any issues that may require veterinary attention. Handle animals with care, utilizing proper animal restraint techniques to ensure safety during grooming. Maintain cleanliness of the grooming area and equipment to uphold hygiene standards. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming services, pet care tips, and any observed health concerns. Provide excellent customer service by building rapport with clients and their pets. Assist in scheduling appointments and managing client records as needed. Requirements Previous experience in pet grooming or a related field is preferred. Strong skills in animal care, handling, and restraint techniques. Knowledge of dog training or veterinary practices is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger breeds or equipment. Excellent customer service skills to foster positive relationships with clients. Experience in pet sitting or as a veterinary assistant is advantageous but not mandatory.
