The animal caretaker will ensure that all our residents receive the highest level of daily, individualized care and that our facility is cleaned and maintained. Responsibilities range from daily feeding, habitat cleaning, and health checkups for residents. Caregivers will also provide basic healthcare and medication regimens as necessary, and help coordinate veterinary care. Responsibilities Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, watering, grooming, and enrichment. Preform daily health checks on animals and report any concerns to the Executive Director. Administer medications as prescribed by veterinarians and monitor animal health. Handle animals safely and compassionately, ensuring their comfort during examinations and treatments. Maintain cleanliness of animal enclosures, equipment, and the facility to promote a healthy environment. Other Responsibilities Training new staff/interns/volunteers Supply pick up as requested Keeping detailed animal care records Special care & medical protocols

• Assisting, if needed, with veterinary/farrier appointments, etc. Enrichment

• keeping habitats clean, safe, and in good condition.

Requirements A genuine passion for animal welfare and commitment to providing exceptional care. Experience working with animals, preferably with farmed animals Good listening and observation skills Reliable and punctual Able to work in the early morning and/or late evenings, weekends, holidays and varying shift times Strong communication with the ability to follow detailed instructions.
