As a Pet Groomer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of pets while providing exceptional grooming services. You will work closely with pet owners to understand their grooming needs and preferences, creating a positive experience for both pets and their owners. If you have a love for animals and the expertise to handle various breeds, we would love to hear from you. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, clipping, and styling according to breed standards and client preferences. Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin, identifying any issues that may require veterinary attention. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ grooming needs and any observations made during the grooming process. Handle pets safely and comfortably during grooming sessions, using appropriate techniques to minimize stress. Provide additional services such as nail trimming, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing as requested by clients. Keep accurate records of services performed on each pet for future reference. Skills Proficient in pet grooming techniques for various breeds and sizes of dogs. Experience in dog handling to ensure safety during grooming sessions. Knowledge of animal handling practices that promote comfort and well-being for pets. Familiarity with pet care best practices including hygiene and health assessments. Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or equipment. Previous experience as a veterinary assistant , pet sitter , or in dog training is a plus but not required.
