The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering high-quality grooming services that meet our clients’ expectations. This role requires both technical skills and excellent customer service abilities. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, clipping, and styling for various breeds of dogs and cats. Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques. Maintain a clean and safe grooming environment by following hygiene protocols. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ grooming needs and any health concerns observed during grooming. Handle animals safely and humanely, utilizing animal restraint techniques when necessary. Provide excellent customer service to ensure client satisfaction and repeat business. Assist with heavy lifting of larger animals as needed during the grooming process. Collaborate with veterinary technicians or other staff members when necessary for the overall care of the animals. Experience Previous experience in pet grooming is preferred but not required; training may be provided for the right candidate. Familiarity with animal care practices, including knowledge of different breeds, coat types, and grooming techniques. Experience in veterinary settings or as a veterinary technician is a plus. Skills in dog training or equine care can enhance your candidacy. Strong customer service skills to effectively interact with pet owners and address their needs. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger dogs or equipment. A background in kennel management or animal restraint is beneficial.
