Grooming Assistant/ Bather Tails by the Sea Laud By Sea, FL 33308 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Grooming Assistant/ Bather to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a desire to provide exceptional care and grooming services. As a Grooming Assistant/ Bather, you will work closely with groomers and the manager to ensure that all pets receive the highest level of care and attention during their grooming appointments. Responsibilities Assist professional groomers in bathing, drying, and grooming pets according to their specific needs. Handle and restrain animals safely during grooming procedures to ensure their comfort and safety. Maintain cleanliness in the grooming area, including washing tools and equipment after use. Monitor pets for any signs of distress or health issues during grooming sessions. Support the team in heavy lifting tasks when necessary, including moving larger dogs or equipment. Qualifications Previous experience in bathing dogs assisting groomers with hygiene trims, nail trims, and body trims. Strong skills in dog handling, animal restraint, and basic pet grooming techniques are needed. Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for larger breeds or equipment. A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being. Basic knowledge of animal care and health is a major plus. Willingness to learn new skills related to pet care and grooming. Must speak Portuguese or Spanish as well as English. Salary is dependent on skills, experience, and availability.
