Kennel Worker Puppy Luv Grooming 15000 Vicki Lane, Brooksville, FL 34613 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team for a part time position on Sundays and Mondays. This is a split shift position. 3 hours a.m. and 3 hours pm. 8am-11am and 4:30pm-7:30pm. Possibly evening shifts during the week. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and be committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for the animals in our facility. As a Kennel Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of pets while assisting with their daily needs. Duties Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising. Maintain cleanliness of the kennel area by cleaning and sanitizing rooms, runs, and common areas. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff or management. Assist with dog handling during playtime. Support pet owners by providing information about services offered and answering questions. Help with administrative tasks as needed, including record keeping and scheduling appointments. Skills Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for animal care tasks. Experience in dog handling and general animal handling is essential. Previous experience as a veterinary assistant or veterinary technician is a plus. Skills in pet sitting or pet grooming are advantageous. Knowledge of animal care practices, including dog training techniques, is highly valued. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members.
