Daily duties will include:
Taking care of a variety of animals including, dogs, horses, cows, chickens, goats, and a tortoise. Feeding, grooming, exercising / training, and administering any medications to the animals according to schedules. Monitor animal health and report any concerns. Scheduling any appointments as needed. Making sure the barn and farm areas are clean and tidy, including cleaning dog kennals mucking out stalls, dragging the paddocks, and riding the arena. Restocking and ordering feed and supplies as needed. Perform regular maintenance on barn facilities and equipment.
Job Skills and Qualifications:
Must have experience with and be comfortable around large farm animals. Must have an understanding of the general health, care, and nutritional needs of all of our animals. Must be comfortable working outside, in Florida weather conditions (sometimes hot and muggy) preforming manual labor. Ability to lift up to 50lbs unassisted. Must have reliable transportation. We are open to having this person live onsite in the future possibly. Must have the ability to strategize workload for self and other team members. Must have excellent communication skills.
