Expected Hours:
10-25 per week (variable based on demand) We’re looking for an experienced and reliable Dog Walker to join our growing pet care team in South Tampa and Downtown Tampa. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys a flexible schedule, has a genuine love for pets, and is comfortable driving to clients’ homes. This position requires a personal vehicle to travel between appointments.
Job Description:
We offer in-home pet care services, including dog walking, feeding, and occasional cat care. We are currently seeking candidates with wide open availability—especially during midday hours (10 a.m.-3 p.m.) and evenings (4-9 p.m.) on Fridays through Sundays. Weekday flexibility is a huge plus. This is a part-time, supplemental-income role that varies based on client demand. Some weeks will be busier than others. Ideal for someone looking to stay active, work with animals, and earn additional income with a consistent company.
What We’re Looking For:
Prior experience in pet care, dog walking, or pet sitting Ability to manage dogs of all sizes and temperaments Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently A valid driver’s license and access to a dependable vehicle Comfortable using a smartphone for scheduling, communication, and updates Located in or near South Tampa Must pass a background check
Duties and Responsibilities:
Visit clients’ homes for dog walks and/or pet sitting Safely leash and handle dogs in harnesses and collars Follow detailed instructions from pet parents Monitor pet behavior and report anything unusual Provide companionship, feeding, water, or medication if requested Maintain clear and respectful communication with both clients and supervisors
