The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering top-notch grooming services that enhance their appearance and comfort. This role requires strong customer service skills, as you will interact with pet owners to understand their grooming needs and preferences. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling of various breeds of dogs. Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin, identifying any issues that may require veterinary attention. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets’ grooming needs and aftercare. Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use. Handle animals safely and compassionately, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process. Assist in managing appointments and scheduling grooming sessions to optimize workflow. Stay updated on the latest grooming techniques and trends to provide high-quality services. Experience Previous experience in pet grooming is preferred. Skills in dog training, pet sitting, or animal handling are advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger breeds or equipment.
