PCA is looking for people who are passionate about the power of youth sports to improve outcomes for young people to join our small but mighty team. Position Profile As the Tampa Bay Chapter’s Program Training and Content Manager, you’ll have day-to-day oversight for one of our key youth development programs (with an opportunity to lead this and more) and will provide a high level of operational and relationship management and support to partners participating in these programs. You’ll work toward earning certification as a PCA Trainer, enabling you to lead workshops for our partners. You’ll also become an expert in the Organization’s content so you can effectively deliver the full range of services and support we offer our partners. The ideal candidate is both a people-oriented relationship builder—someone who listens carefully and tailors solutions to partner needs—and a detail-driven project manager who ensures that all related administrative tasks are handled efficiently and on time. KEY Responsibilities Develop support materials for the Character Development and Character & Leadership Development programs Coordinate training support for partners implementing the Character Development Program Work with leadership teams and site-level management at large multi-site recreation organizations to ensure programming is accurately and successfully implemented Gather and analyze program feedback from Character Development Program site supervisors to support program improvement Deliver workshops/training for Character Development site supervisors, program leads, and coaches Deliver workshops/training for local middle school (and possibly high school) teams Manage confirmations and schedules for middle school workshops as needed Support assigned youth sports partners by building relationships, creating training plans, and providing appropriate resources Represent PCA at special events and PR opportunities Stay informed about issues and challenges facing local partners and youth sports organizations Qualifications (Education & Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities) Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience) At least 4 years of experience in program management, account management, or non-profit project management roles involving building professional relationships, educating/presenting on the program or product, coordinating with stakeholders, and managing logistics At least 4 years of experience training or providing engaging instruction to youth and adults Familiarity with youth sports programs is a must. However, prior experience working with or direct knowledge of youth sports programs (i.e. roles, sports seasons, organization structure, challenges, etc.) is preferred Familiarity with youth development principles is preferred, including commonly used terminology, educational frameworks, and learning protocols used in school and out-of-school time settings. Coaching or other experience with youth sports strongly desired Experience creating written instructional resources for different audiences. Can demonstrate strong English writing skills used in a supervised position for a minimum of 4 years: concise, appropriate tone, adjusting to the audience, effectively addressing goals of content, no grammatical or vocabulary errors, etc Experience presenting in person and on Zoom in front of groups up to 50 people Fluent technical skills in the Microsoft suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as the Google suite of programs (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms, and Meet). Salesforce, Adobe Illustrator, and InDesign experience a plus Strong organizational and project management skills: must be able to multi-task effectively, balance competing project demands, communicate project status honestly with office leaders, and have strong time management skills Team player who can work collaboratively, creatively, and consistently in a dynamic environment
