Your expertise in animal handling and grooming techniques will play a vital role in maintaining the health and appearance of our furry clients. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for dogs and other pets. Assess the condition of each pet’s coat and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques. Handle and restrain animals safely during grooming procedures to ensure their comfort and safety. Maintain cleanliness and organization of grooming tools and workstations. Communicate with pet owners regarding their pets’ grooming needs, behavior, and any concerns observed during appointments. Provide additional pet care services such as pet sitting or basic veterinary assistance as needed. Stay updated on the latest grooming trends, techniques, and products to enhance service quality. Requirements Preferred experience in pet grooming or a related field is preferred. Strong animal handling skills with an understanding of various breeds’ grooming requirements. Knowledge of animal care practices, including basic veterinary knowledge is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger animals or equipment. Experience with equine care is advantageous but not mandatory. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners. A compassionate attitude towards animals coupled with patience and attention to detail.
