The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and experience in pet care, ensuring that our furry clients receive the highest quality grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for providing grooming services while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for pets and their owners. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling pets according to breed standards or client preferences. Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques and products. Handle animals safely and comfortably, using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure their safety during grooming sessions. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area, including tools and equipment. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ grooming needs and any observations about their health or behavior. Provide additional pet care services as needed, such as nail trimming, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing. Keep accurate records of grooming services performed on each pet. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a positive experience for both pets and their owners. Requirements Previous experience in pet grooming is preferred but not mandatory; training may be provided for the right candidate. Strong skills in pet care, including knowledge of various breeds and their specific grooming needs. Experience as a veterinary technician, veterinary assistant, or in animal care is a plus. Ability to handle dogs of all sizes with confidence; experience in dog handling is essential. Familiarity with animal restraint techniques to ensure safety during grooming sessions. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members. A genuine love for animals and commitment to providing exceptional care.
