South Cleveland Avenue, Fort Myers, FL 33907 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and appearance of pets, while also delivering outstanding customer service to pet owners. Duties Provide grooming services for various breeds of dogs and cats, including bathing, drying, trimming, and styling fur. Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin to recommend appropriate grooming techniques and products. Handle animals safely and compassionately during grooming sessions to ensure their comfort. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the grooming area, including sanitizing tools and equipment after each use. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ grooming needs, preferences, and any health concerns observed during grooming. Assist with other pet care duties as needed, including kennel management and pet sitting. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in pet grooming and care. Qualifications Proven experience in pet grooming or a related field is preferred but not required; training may be provided for the right candidate. Strong animal handling skills with a focus on safety and comfort for pets. Excellent customer service skills to build rapport with pet owners. Knowledge of veterinary care or experience in a veterinary setting is a plus. Ability to manage heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or equipment. Familiarity with various dog breeds, their grooming needs, and behavior is advantageous. Experience in equine care or kennel management can be beneficial but is not mandatory.
