The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a strong background in veterinary practices. This role involves managing staff, ensuring the well-being of the animals, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. The Kennel Manager will also be responsible for fostering positive relationships with pet owners and providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Supervise daily kennel operations, including staff management and scheduling. Ensure the health and safety of all animals in care by implementing proper hygiene and care protocols. Oversee feeding, grooming, and exercise routines for all pets. Manage animal intake and discharge processes, including health assessments. Provide training and guidance to staff on animal handling and care techniques. Maintain accurate records of animal health, behavior, and customer interactions. Address customer inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy. Collaborate with veterinary professionals to ensure optimal care for animals. Implement safety protocols to minimize risks to both animals and staff. Skills Proven experience as a Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician is preferred. Strong knowledge of pet care practices, including feeding, grooming, and exercise needs. Proficient in animal restraint techniques to ensure safe handling during procedures. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners. Experience in dog training or behavior management is a plus. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Strong leadership skills with the capability to motivate and train staff members. Knowledge of animal health issues and basic veterinary procedures is beneficial. Passion for animal welfare and commitment to providing high-quality care.
