We have a great staff and need additional help to cover the increased number of dogs we host during weekend’s and summer. You will be eligible for a share of the end of summer bonus if you are consistent and a hard worker. You must be willing to work holidays and weekends. People here love their jobs and don’t really call out. Previous Kennel experience preferred. Wagland has been in business for over 30 years, check out our web page. We provide overnight boarding mostly for dogs and sometimes cats. We pay every week on wednesdays. We will hire someone on the spot after a single interview if we feel the fit is good. Then you could start working immediately (tomorrow). Your coworkers are awesome animal lovers! This is shift work with hours starting at 7:30 am and 4:00 pm. Shifts average 3-4 hours sometimes as much as 5 or more. The length of each shift depends on the total number of dogs as well as other work needed on a particular day. Most workers get approximately 10-20 hours per week . We like to make our staff happy so work to give them what they need. Experience with dogs is required. Kennel Experience is preferred. Experience with cleaning is a plus. Must have no issues with getting dirty, working with difficult (not dangerous) dogs at times, and doing cleanup sometimes poopy work. This job requires a lot of interactions with animals, mostly dogs. It requires you to be a self-thinker and be able to work on your own with little supervision. We work in all kinds of weather so you will get hot, cold or wet from rain at times. The kennel tech is in charge of all cleanup, including dog kennels and yards, cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining kennels. Also, in charge of feeding animals and monitoring whether they’re eating and drinking All cleaning and sanitation of the kennel area is done on a daily basis. Needs to have a strong sense of responsibility, are problem solvers who can pay attention to detail and are patient and kind to animals. Must live within the local area.

Weekends, holidays and summer months We are looking for a Kennel Lead to join our team and provide excellent care for the animals in our facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the health and well-being of the animals, providing them with food and water, cleaning their crates, and providing them with exercise and playtime. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals and a commitment to providing them with the best possible care.

Responsibilities:

Clean and sanitize kennels and cages. Know dog body language and queues Monitor the wellbeing And health of animals in the kennel. Provide food and water to animals in the kennel. Bathe animals as needed. Assist with administering animal meds as needed. Walk and love animals. Provide customer service to pet owners. Maintain records of animal care.
