Kennel Assistant Ocala Veterinary Hospital 316 SE 12th Street, Ocala, FL 34471 Our small animal and exotic veterinary hospital is looking for someone to join our team as a Kennel Assistant To qualify for this role, you must have a positive attitude and a genuine love for dogs, cats , and all animals of all shapes and sizes. In this role, you do more than cleaning and disinfecting our kennels — you also learn animal care and behavior basics while assisting our team with feeding, grooming, and walking tasks. Having previous experience in a pet care environment or kennel management is required. Duties and Responsibilities Clean and disinfect the kennels Provide animals with food and water according to our feeding schedule Give animals in our care their medication as directed by veterinarians and vet techs Walk and play with the animals providing enrichment Help with bathing and grooming tasks Maintain a clean environment inside and outside the hospital. Communicate professionally with clients on admission and discharge from hospital Monitor all patients in hospital Assist technicians and veterinarians Perform Laundry Maintain inkennel inventory logs Schedule Boarding reservations
