Completion of college coursework may substitute for the required work experience on a year-for-year basis. Experience handling pets in a shelter setting is preferred. Recruitment Notes Animal Services is seeking a passionate ASD Adoption Clerk to join our team and support our mission of animal welfare. In this role, you will be the welcoming face of our organization, assisting customers at the shelter and off-site adoption events while promptly addressing any inquiries or issues they may have. Excellent customer service is critical, as you will engage with prospective adopters to help them identify the traits they seek in a companion animal and facilitate the transfer of animals from the kennel to the clinic to expedite the adoption process. Additionally, you will attend community events to educate the public about our programs, monitor animals for health and behavioral concerns, assist with “meet and greet” sessions, and maintain an inventory of event supplies. Accurate record-keeping related to animal adoption and financial transactions will also be part of your responsibilities. This position requires availability on holidays, weekends, and nights, and the ability to drive a county vehicle to off-site functions.
