We are looking for a grooming assistant and the duties are: Washing and drying any kind of dogs. Ear cleaning Anal Gland expression Preparing the dogs for grooming and haircuts, including brushing and techniques such as dematting and deshedding Use of electric clippers to perform basic shaving of body (eg pre-shaving) & footpads Managing animal waste Walk animals as needed. Maintain and sanitize grooming facilities, equipment and supplies, at start-up and closing. Proven experience in the grooming skills and responsibilities listed above. An aptitude test will be required. Excellent attention to details, for hands-on grooming and pre-grooming tasks such as careful observance of procedures and specific needs and requirements for each dog. Unfaltering commitment to high-quality work Must be able to handle difficult dogs in a calm, kind and professional manner. Must be able to follow instructions, multi task and be a self starter Must be willing to attend continuing education courses with the team Excellent organizational and time management skills High school degree Grooming school training preferable
