Full Job Description Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Mobile Pet Groomer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to pets directly at clients’ homes or designated locations, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the grooming process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pet care and a genuine love for animals, along with excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Drive and operate a fully equipped mobile grooming van safely and efficiently. Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, nail clipping, ear cleaning, and styling according to breed standards or client preferences. Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin, identifying any health issues that may require attention. Use appropriate animal restraint techniques to ensure the safety of pets and yourself during grooming sessions. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary grooming environment within the mobile unit. Communicate clearly with pet owners about grooming results, health concerns observed, and recommended services. Provide exceptional customer service to build lasting relationships with clients and ensure satisfaction. Stay current on the latest grooming techniques, tools, and pet care trends.
Requirements:
Proven experience in pet grooming or a related field (1-3 years preferred). Strong skills in animal handling and restraint techniques. Knowledge of dog training principles is a plus. Experience as a veterinary technician or in veterinary care is advantageous. Excellent customer service and communication skills. A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Ability to lift and handle animals of various sizes.
Work Schedule:
Flexible hours, including possible weekends or evenings. Daily travel within a designated service area.
Compensation:
Competitive hourly wage or commission-based pay (plus tips). Fuel and vehicle maintenance provided or reimbursed. Potential bonuses for client satisfaction and performance.
