The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a strong background in pet care, grooming, and handling. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to pets while ensuring their comfort and safety. This role requires excellent animal handling skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, clipping, and styling for various breeds of dogs and cats. Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques. Use proper animal restraint techniques to ensure the safety of both pets and staff during grooming sessions. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area and equipment. Communicate effectively with front desk and pet owners regarding their pets’ grooming needs and any health concerns observed during grooming. Provide additional services such as nail trimming, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing as needed. Stay updated on the latest grooming trends, techniques, and products. Assist with animal handling during appointments, ensuring a positive experience for both pets and their owners. Qualifications Proven experience in pet grooming or related fields such as veterinary assistance or animal care is preferred. Strong skills in animal handling, including dog training and restraint techniques. Knowledge of various dog breeds and their specific grooming requirements. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a calm demeanor with animals. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners.
