PetSuites of America Celebration, FL 34747 Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and experience in pet grooming, ensuring that each pet receives the highest level of care and attention. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for providing grooming services that enhance the health and appearance of pets, while also creating a positive experience for both pets and their owners. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs and cats. Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques. Handle animals safely and compassionately during grooming sessions, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Maintain cleanliness of the grooming area and equipment to adhere to health and safety standards. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming needs, recommendations, and aftercare. Monitor pets for signs of health issues or discomfort during grooming sessions and report findings as necessary. Provide excellent customer service by building strong relationships with pet owners and their pets. Requirements Proven experience in pet grooming or related fields such as veterinary technician or animal care is preferred. Strong skills in animal handling, including dog handling techniques and animal restraint methods. Knowledge of various breeds’ grooming needs and styles is highly desirable. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members. A compassionate attitude towards animals with a commitment to their welfare. Certification in pet care or veterinary assistance is a plus but not mandatory.
