The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and welfare, providing support in a kennel environment. This role involves working closely with various animals, ensuring their well-being, cleanliness, and comfort while maintaining a safe and organized facility. Duties Provide daily care for animals in the kennel, including feeding, watering, and exercising. Clean and maintain kennels, ensuring a hygienic environment for all animals. Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff. Assist with animal restraint during examinations or treatments as needed. Maintain accurate records of animal care and any incidents that occur. Collaborate with team members to ensure high standards of care and safety. Skills Proficiency in heavy lifting to manage larger breeds or supplies as necessary. Experience in kennel environments or similar settings is preferred. Strong animal handling skills, including knowledge of dog behavior and restraint techniques. Background as a veterinary technician or assistant is advantageous. Familiarity with pet grooming practices is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a team while also being self-motivated. Excellent communication skills to interact with both animals and team members.
