Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Dog Groomer to join our team. As a Dog Groomer, you will be responsible for providing grooming services to dogs. Your role will involve grooming, bathing, styling, and maintaining the overall appearance and well-being of our clients’ pups.
Duties:
- Perform grooming services such as bathing, brushing, haircuts, and nail trims
- Ensure the comfort and safety of the animals during the grooming process
- Provide basic training and behavior management for dogs during grooming sessions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area and equipment
- Communicate with pup owners to understand their specific grooming requests and preferences
- Monitor the health and condition of the dogs, reporting any concerns to the appropriate staff member
- Assist with other tasks related to pet care and kennel duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a pet groomer
- Knowledge of different grooming techniques for various breeds of dogs
- Strong animal handling skills with the ability to safely restrain animals during grooming procedures
- Familiarity with basic pet care practices and understanding of animal behavior
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods of time
- Excellent communication skills with both pet owners and team members
- Certification in pet grooming or completion of a formal training program is a plus
