Job Summary:
Dogtopia, the leading provider of dog daycare, boarding, and spa services, is seeking a passionate Dog Daycare Supervisor to join our team. As a Dog Daycare Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, socialization, and well-being of our furry guests. Qualifications and Skills:
Proven leadership experience in managing and motivating a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in staff training, coaching, or team leadership preferred. Core Duties:
Maintain high operational standards, identifying areas for improvement. Oversee weekly schedules for Canine Coaches and Rovers, ensuring labor costs remain within budget. Manage shift staffing, call-outs, and maintain optimum team levels. Lead by example with a positive attitude and servant leadership. Train, motivate, and develop back-of-house employees in customer service, cleaning, safety, and dog care. Ensure team members complete learning paths on time. Conduct monthly one-on-ones and provide written updates to management. Communicate growth and development needs to leadership. Handle hiring, onboarding, and training of new back-of-house team members. Address pet parent and employee concerns, dog injuries, illnesses, and behavior issues. Plan and conduct daily shift huddles and contribute to monthly team meetings. Recommend employee incentives and engagement activities.
Oversight Responsibilities:
Canine Coaches:
Training, development, engagement, playroom cleanliness and management, playroom activities, and scuffle drills.
Rovers:
Dog evaluations, feeding, medication, spa services, facility cleanliness, transportation, and wellness checks.
Facility & Safety:
Maintain cleanliness, manage behavior modification plans, ensure equipment upkeep, use cleaning products properly, and handle dog/employee injuries.
Health & Grooming:
Learn and perform basic grooming tasks, identify dog breeds and behaviors, and report incidents immediately.
