Kennel Technician Elite Pro Dog Training Sanford, FL 32773 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal care and welfare, providing a safe and nurturing environment for pets in our facility. This role involves hands-on interaction with animals, ensuring their well-being while maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kennel. Duties Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, watering, and administering medications as needed. Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and common spaces to ensure a hygienic environment. Assist with animal restraint during grooming or veterinary procedures, ensuring the safety of both pets and staff. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff or management. Engage in dog handling activities, including walking, exercising, and socializing with the animals. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ needs and behaviors. Assist in pet grooming tasks when necessary, ensuring pets are clean and well-groomed. Participate in heavy lifting tasks related to animal care and kennel maintenance as required. Qualifications Previous experience in animal care or handling is preferred; experience as a Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant is a plus. Strong skills in animal restraint and handling techniques to ensure safety during interactions. Familiarity with kennel operations and best practices for animal welfare. Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and team members. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks associated with kennel maintenance and animal care duties.
