Kennel Assistant Southland Veterinary Services 2984 Stateline Rd, Bowdon, GA 30108
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care for animals in the kennel, including feeding, watering, and exercising
- Clean and sanitize kennel areas and equipment to maintain a safe and healthy environment
- Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming
- Administer medications as directed by veterinary staff
- Monitor the behavior and health of animals and report any concerns to the supervisor
- Assist with animal restraint during veterinary procedures or examinations
- Provide excellent customer service to pet owners, answering questions and addressing concerns
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in animal care or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of basic animal care techniques and best practices
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with pet owners
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Physical stamina to handle animals of various sizes and lift heavy objects if necessary
