Kennel Assistant Canine Country Club of the South 6220 Newnan Rd, Brooks, GA 30205 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal care and welfare, providing a safe and nurturing environment for pets in our facility. This role involves hands-on interaction with animals, ensuring their well-being while assisting with daily operations. Duties Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising dogs and other pets. Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to the veterinary staff. Assist in administering medications as directed by veterinary professionals. Engage with pet owners, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns. Support dog training sessions and help socialize animals to prepare them for adoption or boarding. Perform heavy lifting as necessary to manage supplies and equipment within the facility. Experience Previous experience in animal handling or pet care is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Familiarity with veterinary practices or experience as a veterinary assistant or technician is a plus. Skills in dog handling, pet grooming, or dog training are advantageous. Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and team members.
