Kennel Attendant The PawPlex 3580 Lawrenceville Suwanee Road, Suwanee, GA 30024 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and the ability to provide a safe and nurturing environment for pets. As a Kennel Assistant, you will play a vital role in the daily operations of our facility, ensuring that all animals receive the highest level of care and attention. Responsibilities Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising pets. Must be okay watching large groups of dogs. Maintain cleanliness in kennels and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff. Assist with animal restraint during grooming or medical procedures as needed. Handle various breeds of dogs and other animals safely and effectively. Support pet owners by providing information on animal care practices. Assist with administrative tasks such as record keeping Participate in training sessions for new staff on animal handling and care procedures. Qualifications Previous experience in animal care or handling is preferred, including roles such as Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician. Skills in pet grooming, dog training, or pet sitting are advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger animals or moving supplies. Strong understanding of animal behavior and restraint techniques is beneficial. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
