The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a strong background in pet care, including grooming techniques and handling various breeds. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to ensure the health and well-being of pets while creating a positive experience for both pets and their owners. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for dogs and other pets. Assess the condition of each pet’s coat and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques. Handle animals safely and effectively, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process. Maintain cleanliness of the grooming area, tools, and equipment to adhere to health and safety standards. Communicate with pet owners regarding their pets’ grooming needs and any observed health issues. Provide additional services such as ear cleaning, teeth brushing, or specialty cuts based on client requests. Stay updated on current trends in pet grooming and care practices. Requirements Proven experience in pet grooming or related fields such as veterinary technician or animal care. Strong skills in animal handling, dog training, and animal restraint techniques. Knowledge of various breeds’ grooming requirements and styles. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being.
