In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality bathing and grooming services for our furry clients. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals and a strong commitment to ensuring their comfort and well-being during the grooming process. You will work closely with pet owners to ensure their pets receive the best care possible. Duties Bathe, dry, and groom pets according to specific breed standards and owner preferences. Handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments with care and confidence. Maintain cleanliness in the bathing area and grooming tools. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets’ needs. Assist in animal restraint during grooming procedures to ensure safety for both the pet and staff. Monitor pets for any signs of distress or health issues during grooming sessions. Collaborate with other team members to create a positive environment for pets and their owners. Skills Proficient in dog handling techniques, ensuring safe interactions with various breeds. Experience in dog training or knowledge of basic commands is a plus. Familiarity with animal restraint methods to ensure safety during grooming. Background as a veterinary assistant or veterinary technician is advantageous. Knowledge of equine care can be beneficial but is not required. Strong animal handling skills, particularly in a kennel or grooming setting. Excellent customer service skills to foster positive relationships with pet owners. Experience in pet sitting can enhance understanding of pet behavior and needs.
