Here at The Royal Treatment are looking for a highly motivated, positive, well rounded, patient, and self-sufficient individual to become part of our team as a Pet Caregiver. We call our clientele our Royal Family for a reason. The pet care giver provides care for the needs of dogs in our care. Our Royal Family get the above and beyond care while being groomed, boarded or staying for the day, for the guests of The Royal Treatment, while their Shift Lead is the guiding force. Shift Lead’s manage the time they have with differing day to day requirements to make the most relaxed stay possible for the pets that come into our facility.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

Maintaining proper care and safety of dogs while under our care. Observe animal appearance and activity Walk dogs several times a day to provide exercise and time for potty breaks Ensure that suites and animals are properly identified and that personal property (toys, treats, blankets, leashes) are stored in the proper area and identified. Clean, disinfect and maintain suites as often as necessary to ensure no suites have any pet messes and odors are not apparent. Perform general cleaning in other areas of the building to control the spread of disease. Wash and sterilize water and food bowls. Launder and dry towels and blankets Walk grounds daily, picking up and trash and stool. Record information such as feeding schedules, appearance, behavior of animals that are boarded, groomed or staying for daycare. Work well with all employees as a team and ensure that your actions support The Royal Treatment and its philosophy Perform other duties as assigned Ability to love and care for each of our guests as if they were your own

Skills and Knowledge:

Apply knowledge and skills in controlling/handling individual animal temperament Ability to gain animal confidence when restraining them for transport, grooming and/or treatment Knowledge of proper methods of animal restraint Ability to use cleaning materials and equipment with skill and efficiency Ability to perform moderately heavy physical labor Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments. Understand and carry out oral and written direction Understanding and acknowledging different dog behaviors and temperaments
