The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a strong background in pet care, ensuring that each pet receives the highest level of grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for providing grooming services that enhance the health and appearance of pets while ensuring their comfort and safety. Duties Perform grooming services including brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs . Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques. Handle animals with care and compassion, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the grooming area, including cleaning tools and equipment after each use. • Provide basic animal handling during grooming sessions to ensure safety for both the pet and the groomer. Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, particularly with larger breeds or when moving equipment. Qualifications Proven experience in pet grooming or a related field is preferred. Strong skills in animal handling and care, with an understanding of various breeds’ specific needs. Knowledge of dog training techniques is a plus. Experience as a veterinary technician or in a veterinary setting is advantageous but not required. Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed during grooming sessions or while handling large animals. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members. A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being is essential.
