The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering high-quality grooming services. This role requires strong customer service skills and the ability to handle various breeds and temperaments of animals. Duties Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling pets according to breed standards or client preferences. Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and in good working condition. Assess the condition of pets’ coats, skin, ears, and nails, providing recommendations for care as needed. Communicate effectively with pet owners about their pets’ grooming needs and any health concerns observed during grooming sessions. Handle pets safely and compassionately, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process. Assist with kennel duties as required, including feeding, cleaning, and monitoring the health of animals in care. Provide excellent customer service to build lasting relationships with clients and their pets. Qualifications Previous experience in pet grooming is preferred; however, training may be provided for the right candidate. Knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques is essential; or in animal care is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or equipment. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners. A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being is crucial for success in this role.
