Barn Hand – Horses, Nonprofit Acorns to Oaks Horsemanship Center 24 Liberty Street, Acton, MA 01720 Job Overview Acorns to Oaks Horsemanship Center in Acton, MA is growing and looking to hire a dedicated team member to help with daily barn chores and horse care. The ideal candidate will be an independent, responsible, self-starter with reliable transportation. Shifts can be morning (starting at 7am), afternoon (2:30-5:30pm), or a combination. Horsemanship@gmail.com. We look forward to meeting you! Responsibilities Provide daily care for horses, including feeding, turn out, stall cleaning, sweeping, waters, and monitoring their health. Clean stalls and maintain a tidy barn environment. Other chores as needed Requirements Previous experience in animal care, particularly with equine species, is strongly preferred. Knowledge of animal husbandry practices and proper horse handling techniques. Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks associated with barn work, including the ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs. Ability to work mornings and open the barn alone.
