Pet Groomer Manilow’s Canine Playgroud 253 Barnum Road, Devens, MA 01434 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring that pets look and feel their best while maintaining their health and well-being. This role requires strong animal handling skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Duties Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, clipping, and styling pets according to breed standards and client preferences. Safely handle and restrain animals during grooming sessions to ensure their comfort and safety. Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, adhering to all health and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming needs, pet behavior, and any potential health concerns observed during grooming. Provide basic pet care services such as nail trimming, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing as needed. Assist with the general care of animals in the facility, including feeding, walking, and monitoring their behavior. Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive experience for both pets and their owners. Experience Previous experience in pet grooming is preferred; however, candidates with strong animal handling skills or backgrounds in veterinary assistance may also be considered. Familiarity with various breeds of dogs is beneficial. Experience in kennel management or dog training can enhance your application. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger breeds or equipment. Knowledge of animal restraint techniques is essential for ensuring the safety of both the groomer and the pets.
