This role requires someone who is reliable, enjoys being outdoors, and is capable of handling various breeds and sizes of dogs. As a Dog Walker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and happiness of pets while their owners are away. Duties Walk dogs of various sizes and breeds, ensuring their safety and comfort during outings. Provide basic care and attention to dogs, including feeding, grooming, and administering medication as needed. Maintain a positive relationship with pet owners through effective communication and updates on their pets’ activities. Monitor the health and behavior of dogs during walks, reporting any concerns to the owner. Ensure all equipment used (leashes, harnesses) is safe and in good condition. Manage multiple clients effectively while adhering to scheduled walking times. Assist with pet sitting duties when required, providing additional care for pets in their home environment. Requirements Previous experience in animal handling or pet care is preferred but not mandatory. Skills in customer service to foster positive relationships with pet owners. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary, such as assisting larger dogs or moving equipment. Knowledge of animal behavior and restraint techniques is beneficial.
