Dog Care Attendant 1.0 1.0 out of 5 stars Acton, ME 04001 •Our immediate opening requires night and weekend availability.•Essential Job Functions Provide compassionate and attentive hands-on care to rescue dogs to include feeding and watering, grooming, exercising and play Assist rescue manager with adoption proceedings as needed Perform regular, thorough cleaning of dog living areas, cabin living spaces, fenced in play areas and grounds Oversee and delegate tasks to volunteers as needed. Required Skills & Qualifications Ability and desire to work with dogs of all sizes, breeds and temperaments and provide care in a humane manner in keeping with established organizational standards Ability work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays Physical strength, stamina and agility to work with dogs, equipment and supplies up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis Outstanding customer service attitude and team-oriented approach to work Ability to communicate effectively Ability to use computers and tablets to record dog observations and care notes
