Professional Dog Groomer Lily’s Play-N-Stay 511 Main Street, Belton, MO 64012 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring that pets are clean, well-groomed, and comfortable during their visit. You will work closely with pet owners to understand their grooming needs and preferences while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment. This is an evening shift starting at 1:30p-close on week days, and 8a-5p on Sundays. Duties Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs and cats. Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin to recommend appropriate grooming techniques and products. Handle animals with care, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the grooming process. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the grooming area, including sanitizing tools and equipment after each use. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ grooming needs, behavior, and any concerns observed during the grooming session. Provide excellent customer service by building rapport with clients and addressing any questions or concerns they may have. Stay updated on grooming trends, techniques, and best practices to enhance skills and service quality. Experience Previous experience in pet grooming is required; training may be provided for the right candidate. Skills in dog handling, animal restraint, and general pet care are highly valued. Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant is a plus, as it demonstrates knowledge of animal behavior and health. Strong customer service skills are essential for building relationships with pet owners and ensuring satisfaction.
