As an Animal Care Assistant, you will support veterinarians and technicians in delivering exceptional care to our patients. Duties Assist with the daily care of animals, including feeding, exercising and overall care. Perform animal restraint techniques safely and effectively during examinations and procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including animal housing areas. Monitor animal health by observing behavior and reporting any concerns to veterinary staff. Support veterinary staff with procedures such as animal catheterization and general care. Handle dogs and other animals with care to ensure their comfort and safety. Assist at the front desk as needed, providing excellent customer service to pet owners. Requirements Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of animal handling techniques, including dog and cat handling and restraint methods. Familiarity with basic animal physiology and husbandry practices is beneficial. Ability to perform tasks requiring physical stamina, including lifting animals when necessary. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and pet owners.
