The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the well-being of various animals, including dogs, cats, and other pets, while their owners are away. This role requires a genuine love for animals, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle various pet care tasks with professionalism and care. Responsibilities Provide daily care for pets, including feeding, walking, and administering medication as needed. Ensure that pets receive adequate exercise and companionship during visits. Maintain a clean and safe environment for the pets in your care. Monitor the health and behavior of pets, reporting any concerns to the pet owner. Follow specific instructions from pet owners regarding routines and preferences. Handle any emergencies or unexpected situations with calmness and efficiency. Maintain clear communication with pet owners regarding their pet’s status and any issues that arise during care. Skills Strong knowledge of animal care practices, including feeding, grooming, and general health monitoring. Experience in dog handling is preferred to ensure proper management of various breeds. Experience in equine care is beneficial for those who may handle horses or similar animals. Excellent interpersonal skills to build trust with both pets and their owners. A responsible attitude towards pet safety and well-being is essential.
