Kennel Technician 3.4 3.4 out of 5 stars 22051 Old 64 Hwy, Hermitage, MO 65668 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets in our facility. This role involves providing daily care, maintaining cleanliness of the seniors living area and grounds and some basic animal handling such as walks etc. This is a predominantly cleaning focused position and you will be on your feet for your entire shift. This is a fast-paced environment, you will be standing, bending and moving during your entire shift. We have full time positions available for this role.
Shifts are:
6a-130p 130p-9p Responsibilities Provide daily care for animals, including cleaning, maintaining supplies, exercising pets, laundry, dishes, poop scooping, indoor and outdoor grounds care. Candidate will be in and out of various weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain, snow etc. within reason. This is a cleaning focused position and you will walk between various buildings on the property. Maintain cleanliness of suites, play areas, and other facilities to ensure a hygienic environment. This includes outdoor areas. Maintaining dishes, dirty laundry and organizational tasks. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to management or veterinary staff. Assist with animal restraint during grooming or veterinary procedures as needed. Handle various breeds of dogs safely and humanely. Perform heavy lifting when necessary, such as moving supplies or larger animals. Must be able to lift 50lbs. Support team members in maintaining a positive atmosphere. Skills Knowledge of basic animal care practices, including feeding, bathing, and exercising pets preferred but not required. Ability to work effectively in a kennel environment with various breeds of dogs. Experience in animal restraint techniques is beneficial but not required. Capability to perform heavy lifting tasks as required by the job duties. Must be able to lift 50lbs. Must be able to stand, bend, lift etc for long periods of time. You will be on your feet for your entire shift. This is a fast paced environment.
