Experienced Dog Bather The Country Pup Inn- Boarding & Grooming 8853 Lawrence 2040, Miller, MO 65707 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Bather to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for animals and the ability to provide exceptional care for pets. As a Pet Bather, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our furry clients receive the best grooming experience possible, contributing to their overall health and well-being. Duties Bathe and groom pets according to breed standards and individual client requests. Safely handle and restrain animals during grooming procedures to ensure their comfort and safety. Maintain cleanliness of the grooming area, including washing towels, cleaning equipment, and sanitizing surfaces. Monitor pets for any signs of distress or health issues during grooming sessions. Communicate effectively with pet owners about their pets’ needs and any observations made during grooming. Assist in scheduling appointments and managing the flow of clients in the grooming area. Provide basic care such as brushing, nail trimming, and ear cleaning as needed. Skills Experience in animal handling, particularly with dogs and cats. Knowledge of pet grooming techniques and tools is preferred. Familiarity with kennel operations or veterinary environments is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with both pets and their owners. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Skills in animal restraint techniques to ensure safety during grooming procedures. A background in veterinary care or as a veterinary technician can be beneficial but is not required.
