Dog Bather The Dirty Dog Vancleave, MS 39565 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Bather to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess the skills necessary to provide high-quality grooming services for pets. As a Pet Bather, you will be responsible for ensuring that pets are clean, comfortable, and well-cared for during their grooming sessions. This role requires excellent animal handling skills and a genuine love for working with animals. Responsibilities Bathe and dry pets using appropriate techniques and equipment. Brush and comb pets to remove tangles and mats. Inspect pets for any signs of skin issues or abnormalities. Maintain a clean and organized bathing area, including sanitizing tools and equipment. Provide comfort to pets during the bathing process to reduce stress. Assist in restraining animals safely during grooming procedures. Communicate with pet owners about their pets’ needs and any concerns observed during grooming. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a smooth workflow in the grooming area. Requirements Previous experience in animal handling or pet care is preferred. Knowledge of basic pet grooming techniques is a plus. Ability to handle various breeds of dogs and cats safely and effectively. Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with both pets and their owners. Experience as a veterinary technician, dog trainer, or in kennel management is advantageous. Familiarity with animal restraint techniques is beneficial. A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being is essential. Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary.
