Dog Groomer Jersey Girl Grooming 10140 Beach Drive SW, Calabash, NC 28467 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to a variety of pets, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the grooming process. Your expertise in animal care and grooming will help maintain the health and appearance of our furry clients while building strong relationships with pet owners. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling for dogs and other pets. Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin to recommend appropriate grooming techniques and products. Ensure the safety and comfort of pets during grooming sessions through proper animal restraint techniques. Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, adhering to hygiene standards. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ needs, behavior, and any health concerns observed during grooming. Provide additional pet care services as needed, such as nail trimming or ear cleaning. Stay updated on the latest grooming trends and techniques to enhance service offerings. Skills Proficient in animal restraint techniques to ensure the safety of both pets and groomers. Strong background in pet grooming with experience handling various breeds and temperaments. Knowledge of dog handling practices and behavior to manage pets effectively during grooming sessions. Familiarity with veterinary practices is a plus; experience as a veterinary technician or assistant is beneficial. Understanding of equine care is an advantage for those working with larger animals. Excellent animal handling skills, demonstrating compassion and patience towards all pets.
