Overview Job Summary:

Wags & Whiskers is looking for a highly motivated, dependable, self-starter who can work with a team or independently. The candidate must be organized, have good judgment, and pay close attention to details. 20-25 hours per week. You must love dogs and cats.

Responsibilities:

• Provide daily care and attention to dogs and cats in the kennel
• Clean and sanitize kennel areas, including dog and cat rooms, bedding, dishes, play areas, and all common areas
• Feed and water animals according to their specific dietary needs
• Administer medications as directed
• Exercise and socialize animals in a safe manner
• Monitor the health and behavior of animals and report any concerns to the supervisor

Skills:

• Ability to handle animals safely and gently
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with pet owners
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Patience and compassion when working with animals of different temperaments
• Basic knowledge of animal behavior and healthcare practices
