Pet Groomer Linda’s House of Grooming Calabash, NC 28467 Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and experience in grooming various breeds of pets. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services while ensuring the comfort and safety of the animals in your care. This role requires excellent customer service skills as you will interact with pet owners to discuss their grooming needs and preferences. Linda has been in business in calabash for around 30 years, so we need a solid team to help keep her legacy living on. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for a variety of pets. Assess the condition of each pet’s coat and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques. Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets’ needs. Handle animals safely and gently, using proper restraint techniques when necessary. Keep detailed records of each pet’s grooming history and any special requirements or observations. Collaborate with veterinary technicians or assistants when necessary for any health-related concerns observed during grooming. Stay updated on the latest trends in pet grooming and animal care. Qualifications Proven experience in pet grooming is preferred; certification in pet grooming is a plus. Knowledge of animal handling techniques and behavior to ensure safe interactions with pets. Previous experience as a veterinary technician or assistant is an advantage but not required. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners. Familiarity with kennel operations, animal restraint methods, and general veterinary practices is beneficial. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
