Part-Time Dog Daycare Attendant Wonderdog Pet Grooming 308 Stone Ridge Boulevard, Asheville, NC 28804 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and supervision for dogs in a daycare setting. Your love for animals and commitment to their well-being will ensure a safe, fun, and engaging environment for our furry clients. This position requires physical stamina, excellent customer service skills, and a genuine passion for animal care. Responsibilities Supervise dogs during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Engage with dogs through play and exercise to promote socialization and physical activity. Maintain cleanliness of the daycare facility by regularly cleaning play areas, kennels, and equipment. Administer basic care such as feeding, watering, and administering medications as needed. Monitor dog behavior and report any concerns or issues to management promptly. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their dog’s day at daycare. Assist in the onboarding of new dogs to ensure they acclimate well to the environment. Handle heavy lifting when required, such as moving equipment or supplies. Qualifications Previous experience in pet care or animal handling is preferred but not required. Knowledge of dog behavior and experience with various breeds is a plus. Background in veterinary assistance or as a veterinary technician is advantageous. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners. Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods during shifts. A genuine love for animals and commitment to providing high-quality care. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
