Pet Resort – Client Care Manager 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars 120 Lodge Lane, Pittsboro, NC 27312 Green Beagle Lodge is looking for an exceptional candidate to lead our Client Care department at our Pittsboro location. We are a privately owned company with two locations that provide resort style daycare and boarding, as well as bathing and training services. We are a uniquely off-leash, all-inclusive facility where everything we do is pack oriented.
The ideal candidate must display not only a passion for animals but a solid work ethic and the confidence to keep our guests safe. Our expectations include a strong knowledge of dog health, handling, and socialization, excellent communication and team leading skills, and a desire to learn, grow, and adapt in a fast paced environment. This role must perform at a high level to ensure the best client experiences while upholding health and safety excellence, as well as manage administrative duties and operations. The Client Care Manager will report directly to the General Manager and participate in weekly and monthly meetings to continue their professional development and contribute to the success of the company. This candidate should be familiar with or able to retain information from the North Carolina Department of Agriculture’s Animal Welfare Act. Main job responsibilities & expectations include: Responsible for the success and efficiency of daily operations related to client care, and takes ownership of the department. Properly communicates behavioral and health concerns about guests within our care to their owners (clients) as well as ensuring appropriate internal communications are made. Writes, publishes, and maintains a staffing schedule following Green Beagle Lodge’s standards and expectations. This includes ensuring proper coverage for shifts, approving overtime and timecards, managing time off requests, and enforcing payroll expectations. Directly supports the supervisor roles and provides first level backup to their shift responsibilities. Maintains standards of pet care and staff conduct as it pertains to Green Beagle Lodge protocols and values, including “Clean, Green, Safe & Fun.” Prepares and reviews reports relative to client care incidents, billing exceptions, and systems. Responsible for staff training, development, and reviews; and supports the supervisors with all personnel actions, including coaching forms and other corrective actions. Coordinates the recruiting and on-boarding of new staff with the assistance of General Manager, Human Resources Manager and Educational Manager. Develops, reviews and enforces standard operating procedures for all Client Care staff at their Green Beagle Lodge location. Oversees the maintenance of client care notes and bookings, which includes but is not limited to: PetExec systems that properly document booking reservations and purchases of services; and the proper logging and communication utilizing Microsoft Teams. Submits supply and equipment needs to the General Manager, which includes maintaining a monthly inventory system and purchasing inventory items. Oversees the upkeep of the facility and equipment, and reports maintenance needs appropriately and timely.

Demonstrates strong leadership skills and the ability to manage staff and operations. The Client Care Manager should have a strong understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of their team, and how to lead and support them to success. Demonstrates commitment to the position through consistent reliability and pride in their work. Displays excellent time management skills and the ability to be flexible and adaptable in the work environment. Demonstrates and promotes excellent communication inside and outside the entire facility. Initiates improvements to existing processes and procedures, and properly presents them to the General Manager and GBL Management Company.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3-years’ experience working in a clerical or administrative role relevant to the Pet Care Industry. Experience in a hospitality, point of sale, or client relations role may be considered in lieu of Pet Care Industry experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Office preferred. Minimum of 2-years’ experience leading a team and driving results. Animal behavior courses or similar type course work, preferred.
